There are 4 components to an Intro paragraph.
1. Hook - Cannot be a question! Needs to hook in the reader.
2. Bridge – Connect your hook to the story adding in author and title.
3. Summary - Summarize the elements of the story. Assume the reader doesn't know the original story. Pretend your making a movie trailer for the book. You would give the main points about the book, but you would not give the whole book away.
4. Thesis - What is your paper about. Think about what I've been asking you to do all year. Restate the question back into your answer. Look that the prompt and underline the key words. Those words need to be in your thesis.
